Grey Ant’s Grant Krajecki sent models down the runway this afternoon—at the first of many shows at the mini-tent erected outside of the Soho Grand—in sky-high stilettos. Teva stilettos, that is. “Anything people consider to be really ugly I like to give a face-lift to,” the designer said, explaining that he realized just how ubiquitous and “weird-looking” Tevas were on what turned out to be an inspirational recent trip to Seattle. The shoes looked like a nod to Ghesquière’s Lego heels for Balenciaga, and Krajecki conceded as much backstage. “I’m always inspired by him,” he said earnestly. “I mean, who isn’t?”
