The Spring 2008 Azzaro collection was officially unveiled Friday, but invited to an exclusive Thursday-night sneak peek were a handful of Vanessa Seward’s close friends: boyfriend Bertrand Burgalat, actress/singer Arielle Dombasle, Cameron Silver of Decades, lingerie designer Fifi Chachnil, and Natasha, the former front woman of the French band A.S Dragon. The atmosphere was convivial and chatty, as though everyone had gathered to watch a DVD instead of models in Swarovski crystal-encrusted evening gowns. Even Seward’s harshest critics, the ladies who run the Azzaro boutique, were congratulatory. “They keep me in line,” Seward said.
