frost french targeted

Late last week, Sadie Frost and Jemima French’s three-week-old North London boutique became the latest target in the string of high-fashion thefts that have been plaguing London.
First Roger Vivier’s shop was hit, back in June; then thieves stole several key looks from Christopher Kane’s studio just days before his Spring ‘08 show.
Following that, the Brora, Ralph Lauren, Luella, and Marc Jacobs stores were looted by a gang of black-clad, moped-riding, smash-and-grab robbers.
“We are pretty sure they are stealing on demand,” FrostFrench spokesperson Tracy Gavin told us. “They are obviously hired guns of an organized gang who are very into fashion.
They are picking and choosing their targets carefully.” Police have made no arrests and are tight-lipped about the investigation.
“It’s ridiculous it has got this far,” said Gavin, adding that FrostFrench lost thousands of pounds worth of clothing in the early-morning theft.
As everyone speculates about who’s going to be next, boutiques around the city, including Dover Street Market, Pringle, Matches, and the Net-a-Porter warehouse, have all upped their security.
