Kylie

If you had told Mary-Kate Olsen on Saturday morning that her day was going to include taking in the recently revamped production of “Rent” and wind up at London’s famed seafood restaurant J. Sheekey for dinner with Kylie Minogue, her response would have been simple: “I would have called you a liar.” But as fate would have it, when Alison Mosshart of the Kills asked the pint-size actress/designer to meet her and a friend (none other than the equally petite Miss Minogue, who has lent her voice to some of the show’s offstage recordings) for a drink, one thing led to the another, including the aforementioned theatrical outing and an informed discussion on the importance of a good heel. “I’ll do anything for my gay husband,” said Minogue of William Baker, the stylist-turned-director in charge of modernizing the West End show. “This is the third time I’ve seen the thing—and it doesn’t even officially open until Monday.”
