“Yep, I flew in just for Ashley’s birthday.” Or so said makeup artist Jemma Kidd on the outdoor terrace of hairstylist Ashley Javier, where he had thrown himself a lavish birthday party, on Thursday night. “OK, so I’ve been here for a couple days for work—but he’s definitely worth flying in for!” It’s not just not blond British It girls who have a fetish for the hairstylist; Jacquetta Wheeler, Vogue’s Sarah Brown, Bonnie Morrison, Allison Sarofim, Jamie Johnson, Alex Kramer, and Christian Leone, along with some of the Threeasfour crew, all filed into his Lower Fifth Avenue pad, which had been decked out with black and white pillows, silver furniture, and outside, two roaring bonfires. “I’m sure there’s some sort of law that we’re breaking,” Javier said, “but you know what, it’s cold.” The fires reminded more than one guest of camp days gone by. “That’s what I forgot!” Javier said. “S’mores!”
