live, in 3-d

Diesel

Diesel’s e-commerce site went live today. Yes, the megabrand is fashionably late to the online party, but it’s made up for its absence with an entrance that’s suitably grand. "It’s totally diffferent than any other site out there," company founder Renzo Rosso told Style.com. "It’s taken us a little bit of time, but we’ve come up with something very special." Designed by a team headed up by creative director Wilbert Das and powered by Yoox, the Diesel Style Lounge uses the latest cinematic effects to showcase 3-D models twisting and turning in the label’s looks. Picture an underwater version of The Matrix, but with jeans, leather jackets, and jumpsuits instead of long black capes. At www.diesel.com.
