Donatella has candidly declared Christopher Kane the one to succeed her at Versace, but when it comes to the man endorsing her Spring collection, the designer has kept pointedly silent. Now sources tell us that the mystery model who recently shot the menswear campaign with Mario Testino in Los Angeles is none other than Grey’s Anatomy’s Patrick Dempsey. Versace has a long history of using megawatt celebrities (Halle Berry, Demi Moore, Madonna) to endorse the brand, but Dempsey’s turn has been shrouded in secrecy. Well, the word is out, and it appears Donatella has another Versace man in Dr. McDreamy.
