no turkey in london

November 20, 2007  9:34 am

While Americans will no doubt spend this Saturday regretting the nutritional choices they made on Thursday or suffering through the retail Olympics that follow Turkey Day, our friends in London will be climbing into their best jungle-themed getups for another Alice Temperley extravaganza. “As always, you can expect the unexpected from a Temperley party,” Alice tells us. “We have a whole host of ‘wild’ surprises prepared for our friends.” Some details that have been revealed: Animal print or jungle costumes are a must; it starts at 9 p.m.—but no word on when it will end, which will probably be late if past parties are any indication—and there’ll be exclusive performances by Top Cats & The Egg. Alice’s husband and the company’s CEO, Lars von Bennigsen, promises a roar of an evening: “We have some amazing bands, naturally.” But what will really get those English hedonists going is a lack of evidence. Says Lars: “No photographers allowed inside!”
