Spanish designer Custo Dalmau of Custo Barcelona is best known for his liberal use of tropical brights and bold prints—and with his new foray into handbags, he shows no sign of veering from what’s been a very successful course. The bags, which launch in mid-December, will include various styles from clutches to hobos, all boasting the brand’s signature lush palette and retailing between $110 and $500. Considering fashion’s new obsession with psychedelic prints and whimsical caricature (see Prada’s hippie trip and Miu Miu’s Liselotte Watkins illustrations for Spring 2008), it’s looking like these arm charms will be right on trend.
