Tam

Just in case the various iPods and Nanos don’t strike you as girlie enough, Vivienne Tam has come out with her own TAM MP3 Walkman that’s as feminine as red lipstick. Tam worked with industrial designer Kitman Keung to develop the curvaceous lacquered device, which was inspired, Keung says, by “the brilliant, tight-fitting cheongsams that show the beautiful organic lines of a woman’s body.” Girls apparently like to see their likeness in their product design. “When I show it to women, they just say ‘wow’ and keep asking me how to buy one. None of them question me about the storage capacity, battery duration time, or even how it functions.” Well, there’s time to figure all that out—the product is still at the concept stage. The designs, however, will be on display at Tam’s New York store.
