Arden

What better way to kick off the weekend than with a little (high-end) retail therapy? Friday evening, Miu Miu devotees piled into the label’s Soho store to peruse an early offering of the Spring collection. Socials such as Lauren Davis, Arden Wohl, and Amy Greenspon stocked up on warm-weather staples, as well as a few impulse buys. “It is so gorgeous I really should not feel compelled to rationalize its purchase,” Davis said of the printed tunic she picked up. “I do love that the length is just right—it might be worn as nicely as a top or minidress.” The night’s main attraction was a selection of one-of-a-kind pieces, like a silky black cape, a printed pouf-skirted shift, and various ornate accessories available for immediate purchase. “Basically, you can walk out with the new collection,” explained Vogue’s Stephanie LaCava. “It’s cool but also a little dangerous. I mean, you could do some serious damage to your charge account.” Apparently, that’s exactly what a few deep-pocketed shoppers had in mind. By the evening’s end, all of the exclusive pieces, including a pair of cheeky silk bloomers, had been sold.
