One of her most popular procedures this year? Fraxel, a fractional laser which, unlike past models, is safe on olive or dark complexions and doesn’t cause bleeding or long-lasting redness. In four to five treatments (priced at $1,000 to $2,500 each, depending on the surface area treated) spaced two to three weeks apart, patients can see big improvements in acne scarring, skin tone, and wrinkles. “We have two machines going practically all the time,” said Dr. Wexler of her Fraxel arsenal.
