fashion against aids

December 19, 2007  12:03 pm

Faa

As if Karl, Stella, and Roberto weren’t enough, this spring H&M is eyeing several more collaborations. In a move to increase AIDS awareness, the Swedish behemoth is joining forces with Designers Against AIDS to launch “Fashion Against AIDS,” a collection of a bag, T-shirts, tanks, hoodies, and minidresses, designed by Chicks on Speed, Good Charlotte, Henrik Vibskov, Jade Jagger, Katharine Hamnett, My Chemical Romance, Rihanna, Rufus Wainwright, Scissor Sisters, The Cardigans, Tiga, Timbaland, and Ziggy Marley. Every item comes with a label specifying its designer and a hangtag that reads: “This might be the most important piece of clothing you’ve ever had your hands on.” Prices range from $9 to $130, and, to highlight another level of awareness, all garments and the bag are made from 100 percent certified organic cotton. The collection lands in H&M stores worldwide in February.
