Agentprovocateur2

To celebrate their new Bal Harbour boutique, Agent Provocateur took over Lenny Kravitz’s newly designed Florida Room at the Delano last night for a burlesque bonanza. Bombshells in corsets mingled with the likes of Matthew Williamson, Thom Filicia, Russell Simmons, and Mark Ecko. Joseph Corré, cocreator of the brand and son of Vivienne Westwood, had been in town for some time, setting up shop and enjoying the sunshine. “To me Miami is a very glamorous Brighton, but with better beaches. So I feel very at home here.” As the night progressed, the room’s Lucite piano was put to good use by several acts, including a tall man in a red sequined jacket and bowler hat named Dirtbox, who belted out a couple of show tunes. A little later, a sassy lassie by the name of Polly Rae sang some Peggy Lee before climbing onto a box and stripping down to her pasties and pumps, a stunt that prompted one Italian observer to exclaim, “Mamma mia!”
