more socializing at socialista

It was a one-two punch for West Village hot spot Socialista this week. First, Kate Hudson, Eva Mendes, and Matthew McConaughey took over the dance floor on Tuesday evening; then, last night, Harvey Weinstein, Damon Dash, Tatiana Santo Domingo, Lauren Davis, Vivi Nevo, Ziyi Zhang, and Fabiola Beracasa all piled in for a VIP holiday cocktail party. “And to pick up the membership card, darling,” said Carlos Mota, who had just come from an Elle dinner in honor of the fashion label Marchesa at Allison Sarofim’s West Village town house. He was referring to the fact that last night’s guests were hand-picked and their attendance confirmed their status on the House List, which guarantees entrance anytime. The card will come in handy for Sarofim, too. “I live right around the corner, so it’s close,” she said of the West Street restaurant and lounge. “Maybe too close.”
