It’s good to be Georgina Chapman. Not only is the Brit brunette one-half (with childhood friend Keren Craig) of the successful fashion label Marchesa, but this past Saturday—as any insider worth the appellation knows—she married movie mogul Harvey Weinstein at a very private, very A-list ceremony at the Weinstein residence in Connecticut. The bride wore a strapless white dress she had designed herself (”when she was eight,” Weinstein told reporters earlier this year), which received compliments from every Renée, Cameron, and pregnant J. Lo in the house. Those who couldn’t make it, such as former president Bill and presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Ben Affleck, Anthony Minghella, Sean Combs, and Hugh Jackman, had taped entertaining messages that were played during the reception. The running theme: That the former Georgina Chapman, who managed to get Harvey off cigarettes and on to a healthy eating routine (not to mention making some seriously impressive changes in his wardrobe!), was the perfect mate for the formerly grumpy producer.
