Toy

Move over Hello Kitty, there’s a new doll in town. Beth Buccini and Sarah Easley of Kirna Zab?te have teamed up with JD Boujnah of design studio Calliope to create Miss KZ, a sassy printed vinyl bunny with a taste for high-end fashion. “We were inspired by our trip to Tokyo to open our store there,” Easley explains. “It’s a whole country where adults play with toys!” The limited-edition Miss KZ (only 500 were made) comes in an 11.5-inch size and a mini key-chain version ($85 and $15, respectively), and will be sold exclusively at the Kirna Zab?te shops in New York and Japan. But her presence will be much more widely dispersed. “You’ll be hearing about her,” Easley says. “She’s going to have a MySpace page, she’ll be in the front rows at the shows. And she’ll be blogging, of course.”
