The ongoing Writers Guild strike meant no A-list actresses or designer frocks. But the Golden Globes Winners Special—in which such stylish leading ladies as Cate Blanchett and Marion Cotillard scored upset victories—is a good indication that come Oscar time the red carpet will be particularly dazzling. Fingers crossed that the show will go on.
