Barneys

For anyone already feeling the fashion week (cocktail) itch, an antidote was served last night at Barneys New York. Vogue and Lanvin teamed up for the first in what will be a weeklong series of pre-fashion week canapéand white wine fests (there’s an Eres event tonight and in-store cocktails for Giuseppe Zanotti and MaxMara on Thursday). Showing their Lanvin support—and checking out the Spring collection, which was on display—were Byrdie Bell, Gillian Hearst-Shaw, Ferebee Bishop Taube, Devon Schuster, and Dabney Mercer. The yellow dress billowing by the elevator left a few hearts pounding, but it was all about the brightly colored frocks for makeup queen Olivia Chantecaille. Turns out she’s just done a lipstick in the same shade of hot melon pink as the strapless tiered mini in the display, and an eye shadow in a bright green similar to a belted ruffle satin cocktail number. “How long till they get in stores?” she asked. ” ‘Cause this is just a tease!”
