carine carries on

Most of us working girls can barely squeeze in a coffee break. Then there’s Carine Roitfeld. The indefatigable Parisienne is not only the editor in chief of Paris Vogue/a mother of two/muse to Tom Ford/a powerhouse of Gallic style who even travels in five-inch heels, she’s also a dedicated philanthropist who has devoted a considerable number of her off hours to the fight against HIV/AIDS. To wit, since 2004 Roitfeld has served as a chair of amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS benefit. The star-studded gala, held annually during the Cannes Film Festival, has been instrumental in raising AIDS awareness and funds. Tonight, amfAR will honor Roitfeld—along with filmmaker Julian Schnabel and (Product) RED chairman Bobby Shriver—with an extravagant bash at Cipriani on 42nd Street. The night owls among the crowd (and our guess is that Roitfeld will be one of them) are expected to keep the good times rolling at an exclusive after-party at Indochine.
