Girls

Gisele is the undisputed queen of the catwalk in Brazil, but two unconventional swans, Daiane Conterato and Carolina Pantoliano, are dominating the news this week at FashionRio, and in doing so are sharing in a new standard of beauty. Prada campaign star Conterato is making her mark on the international catwalk while leading the looks revolution at home; her gangliness and prominent nose make her an elegant standout among a bevy of curvy glamazons. And her resemblance to the more seasoned Pantoliano (they’re often mistaken for siblings) is the talk of the shows, something the two are well aware of. When we asked Conterato to pose with her pal, she finished our question: “With my twin?” she asked. Designers Drosofilia, Teca, and Melk Z-Da all used the feline-like duo to dramatic effect in their presentations.
