the first big blowout

She’s not through the first week of the new year, and already legendary nightlife impresario Amy Sacco is organizing what might be the party of 2008: her 40th-birthday bash at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas on January 10. “If one must turn 40, it’s all about Sin City,” Sacco told those lucky enough to be invited. “Please join me for the usual antics. If you can make it, fabulous; if you can’t, you have a whole year to entertain me. (And I will still love you either way.)” The guest list is under wraps, but expect some big names to hit the Nevada desert come next week. And some big, um, breasts, too. Added Sacco: “It happens to coincide with the porn awards and the consumer electronics convention. Do you think they planned that?” Or, do we think that Amy did?
