Some pretty people got very ugly outside last night’s Givenchy after-party, where a shoulder-to-shoulder crush had formed into an angry mob. And we mean really ugly. Cuss words and insults were exchanged in a variety of languages, and the pushing became so severe that several people left in tears. The problem was that despite the 11 p.m. start time specified on the invitation, not a single person—on the list or otherwise—was admitted into the party till moments before midnight. As one fashion director put it before he swung his scarf over his shoulder and marched away, “I’m too old—and you know what, I’m too senior for this.”
