Foot fetishists, take note. The seven-and-a-half-inch heels Junko Shimada and master craftsman Monsieur Massaro made last season set off major flares on trend-forecasting radar screens. We got a special sneak preview of the Spring ‘08 collection, which bows later today in Paris, and we’re predicting that the 20 metallic leather and suede designs, which were inspired by temples and Tibetan architecture, will touch off a similar frenzy. But while we’re all for the “no pain, no gain” philosophy of fashion, with these on your feet, how do you go about making an entrance without having an accident? “Just imagine a nice boy and a tightrope and the rest should follow,” counsels Shimada.
