jeremy scott in the house

As another fashion week bids New York adieu, there’s only one thing left to do: dance. And that’s where Jeremy Scott comes in. The designer is on shore leave from show preparations in Paris, and he’s hosting tonight’s blowout launch party for new club Mansion, in the old Crobar digs. Mansion is the brainchild of former Lotus impresario Mark Baker and Opium Group’s Eric Milon, and as late as yesterday afternoon, paint was still drying on the gut-renovated space. Scott, of course, is no stranger to the building—he staged his notorious cheerleading show at Crobar few years ago—and he’s looking forward to making another big splash at his old stomping grounds. “Agyness is deejaying, so are the MisShapes, and so is NASA,” he revealed, explaining (for the uninitiated) that NASA is the nom de decks of Sam Spiegel. “That was my primary obligation, as host—get the music right. I figure, the music’s the most important thing, with free liquor coming right after that.” And right after that, Scott added, comes a good crowd. As he spoke, the Spice Girls zapped in their RSVPs. (Also on the list: model Sasha Pivovarova, who’ll be arriving straight from the opening of her show of her drawings and paintings.) “All I’ve got to say is that it’s nice to be back in New York. I don’t get to spend too much time here anymore, and so it’s great to have the chance to do an event on this scale. You know, something fun, maybe a little crazy, to close out a crazy week.”
