Genart3

Call it a bleeding-edge supernova for the Left Coast: To kick off the fifth annual Los Angeles fashion week, two of the cities’ best creative resources will combine this weekend, when a group of Gen Art stars take over Silver Lake’s design mecca A+R to create the New Garde Pop-Up Shop. The New Garde is made up of three labels—JMary, Jesse Kamm, and Le Sang des Bêtes by Trang Chau (above). Looks from their current collections will be sold at the A+R shop, alongside accessories and clothing from other Gen Art and A+R notables. The collaboration kicks off with tonight’s “The New Garde: A Celebration of Innovative Los Angeles Fashion,” a series of custom installations with live models, and the shop opens its doors tomorrow morning. If you don’t want to fight the throngs this weekend, the pop-up will be open to the public Thursdays through Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. until March 30.
