short and sweet

“What else is there to say about Miuccia? She’s a genius!” declared model-turned-actress Michele Hicks last night at the Prada store in Beverly Hills, which was the site of a screening party for James Lima’s animated short film, “Trembled Blossoms.” Though Miuccia was nowhere to be seen, there were plenty of other people to admire, including Angela Lindvall, Juliette Lewis, Lukas Haas, Rumer Willis, Rashida Jones, Nicole Richie, Roman Alonso, Arianne Phillips, Angie Harmon, and local designers Juan
Carlos Obando and Jesse Kamm. “Someone just pulled me into this secret room, where I got to try on these amazing butterfly sunglasses—and then they promised they would send me a pair!” said a bemused China Chow. Ginnifer Goodwin, on the other hand, was more intrigued by footwear. “This film is so whimsical. All I want is the animated girl’s boots!” squealed the actress, who, alas, was not taken into a secret boot giveaway room. Still, there was plenty of Prada flag-flying going on. “It’s always playful and feminine,” said Jenna Elfman. “You get to be a woman when you wear Prada.” The Swedish stylist B (her star client is Madonna), on the other hand, is a fan of the house’s younger line. “I’m more of a Miu Miu girl,” she explained. “I do like Prada, but Miu Miu has more of a fun-loving and crazy spirit. It’s much more my style.”
