it’s simple

Recession woes have sparked a desire to return to simpler times. Hotel rooms are getting smaller and tykes are being taught in the trees. On the other hand, you can now get your DNA analyzed at a Soho pop-up store while you wait for a table for brunch, so maybe the new simplicity is not so simple after all. Cate Blanchett’s newly arrived third baby won’t have to worry about coming from a shoddy gene pool; and Cate, now mother to three boys, won’t have to worry about sharing her Balenciaga with anyone. If she is looking to offer motherly fashion advice though, soon-to-be-18 Emma Watson can’t find anything to wear. Surely Karl must have something? Jade Jagger, a woman with plenty of things to wear, has solved the ugly ice-pick conundrum for hostesses worldwide (OK, maybe just Ibiza-wide) with the Jagger Dagger. And it’s only $250,000! Almost as practical as the memory card you can check your makeup with, which at $15, is much more recession-friendly.
