Yes, we know gas is expensive, but buying it in bulk, covering it in rags, and hiding it in your closet seems like an awfully extreme cost-cutting measure. Save your storage space for beer, instead; it’s just as expensive and arguably a more valuable social fuel. Serious art collectors undoubtedly have more taxing things on their mind than crude and booze, like how early is too early to attend an art-fair pre-party (you have one guess), while senators seem more concerned with where their lunch money is coming from than on how best to spend ours (that is, besides on their lunch). Naomi Campbell, herself a model of selflessness, may be heading toward motherhood.
