kate hudson’s tress management

June 11, 2008  12:36 pm

Khudson

“I have the real unruly hair, half curly, half straight,” Kate Hudson explained at last night’s launch of her new eco-friendly hair care line, David Babaii for WildAid, at Manhattan’s ABC Carpet & Home. “I really am a good guinea pig for a hair product!” The collection, created with Hudson friend and tress guru Babaii, donates a portion of its proceeds to WildAid, the global conservation organization. While the collaboration probably guaranteed Hudson a lifetime supply of beach spray (her favorite product), the actress was equally happy to have had the opportunity to travel to Africa, where she and Babaii shot the line’s Peter Lindbergh-helmed ad campaign and Hudson became partial to the lady lions. “The king of the jungle is just a cliché,” she says. “It’s the women who hunt and choose. They’re kind of the brains behind the operation, and I thought, I can relate to that!”
