Trustfun

Sick of staring into your computer screen for hours on end? So were Aussie designers Shane Sakkeus, Jonathan Zawada, and Annie Wright-Zawada, who decided to do something about it last summer by experimenting with tie-dying techniques on the balcony of their Tamarama beach house. “For so long we were stuck behind computers working on graphics and textiles for other people. We really just wanted to take a hands-on approach and do something for ourselves,” explains Wright-Zawada. After experimenting with concocting unconventional colorways and imparting the result on a collection of silk scarves and T-shirts, they launched the label Trust Fun, and the stock sold out within weeks. When we mentioned a friendly mention on Style File, however, the trio happily agreed to produce a limited-edition assortment especially for their Web site (in between surf breaks, naturally). Available at www.trust-fun.com.
