vintage bubbly for sarafpour’s new collection

Behnaz Sarafpour’s three-day West Coast jaunt reached its peak last night at the dinner Ever Carradine and Michele Hicks hosted for her at the Chateau Marmont in honor of her 2009 Resort collection. Angie Harmon, Sophie Dahl, Jamie Lidell, Roman Alonso, and Jacqui Getty gathered on the candlelit terrace to toast the designer—not with any run-of-the-mill bubbly, but with vintage Veuve Clicquot. “Excuse me, did you say an ‘85 Rosé?” inquired Hicks, who upon confirmation from the sommelier agreed with fiancé Jonny Lee Miller that an ever-so-slight taste was in order. Never mind the baby bump, which at four and a half months discreetly peaked from an ankle-length black lace dress designed by the lady of the hour. Sarafpour, who returns to the East Coast this evening, has plans for an upcoming celebration of her own: her one-year wedding anniversary, which she and her husband are commemorating with a trip to Bermuda.
