western passage: manuel’s new look

July 16, 2008  4:29 pm

Manuel

Looking for Elvis-worthy westernwear? Manuel Classic is your go-to label. But the label’s spin-off line, Manuel, now in its second season, is about sophisticated citywear. The line is designed by Wilfredo Rosado, an Interview alum who spent two decades working for Giorgio Armani—work experience that’s reflected in the streamlined good taste of his first, beach-ready Resort collection. Among our favorites pieces was a ruched-sleeve trench and a pair of full-legged pants made from a cotton/paper mix produced by a Japanese mill. Now that’s the kind of paper pushing we like to see. For more information, see www.manueldesigns.com.
