Q&A

andy and debb’s u.s. debut

August 20, 2008  6:21 pm

The employees of McDonald’s in South Korea might just be the best-dressed fast-food workers in the world. Why? Because they’re clothed by Andy and Debb, a.k.a. Andy Kim and Debbie Yoon, one of the country’s most sought-after labels. But you don’t have to dress like a cutie-pie hamburger flipper to appreciate this married couple’s work. Their Fall ‘08 collection, for example, is full of flirtatiously girly pieces like cropped jackets, embellished blouses, and bracelet-sleeve coats. And, as usual, the duo collaborated with an artist on several items: Miro Kim, a South Korean printmaker, created the peacock print that pops up on several pieces. But the real news (for stateside readers, anyway) is that Andy and Debb is now available in the U.S. at Beyond Seven in New York.
