Q&A

see you at cygalle’s

August 25, 2008  10:07 am

Casa de Campo, the plum piece of Dominican real estate that houses four golf courses and some fancy personal residences on its 7,000 lush acres, is no new destination to any social lady worth her pencil skirt and patent Louboutins. Masterminded by the Fanjul family (Emilia Fanjul’s 2002 wedding to Brian Pfeifler here sent society pages aflutter), the property counts Oscar de la Renta as a homeowner and Anna Wintour as a frequent Christmas holiday guest. But what is new is the Cygalle Healing Spa, a holistic spa and eco-friendly sanctuary on the property. That’s Cygalle Dias, the brain behind the operation, on the left of the picture above, with recent visitors Byrdie Bell, Leigh Lezark, and Max Minghella (other pleased clients include Charlotte Ronson, Helena Christensen, and Rosario Dawson). “The spa is committed to the principles of wholeness and purity,” Dias explains, adding that that majority of the fresh, or “live,” ingredients used in her specially designed treatments are local and concocted right in front of her clients. “I wanted to create an exclusive, private escape that turns into a life-transforming journey, promoting beauty, health, and wellness.” The spa menu is based on a blend of Eastern and Western philosophies and includes massages, reflexology, healing body treatments, hot and cold hydrotherapy, and holistic education. But in case you don’t plan on making it to the DR anytime soon, Cygalle is launching her line of organic health products at the end of the year.
