andre 3000, big man in London

September 18, 2008  10:57 am

“Ladies have the ability to put on a smoking outfit and some heels and look dead hot,” said the preternaturally cool André Benjamin at the party celebrating the launch of his Benjamin Bixby line last night at Harrods. “I’m going do that for men, but instead of heels, with tweed and back-to-school look. It rocks.” In what he called his “BMOC—Big Man on Campus” look— houndstooth blazer, desert boots, and rolled-up jeans—Benjamin was walking the walk. Despite the evening’s manic party schedule, an excited crowd showed up to share a tipple with him, including Sting’s daughter Coco Sumner, Jimmy Choo, and Ozwald Boateng. And what about the clothes? Said Sumner, her hair half shaved off à la Alice Dellal, “I don’t care if it’s for men, I want to wear it all.”
