Designer update

at fashion fringe, a secret winner

The mixture of grown-up fashion savoir faire and precocious antics on display by London’s glamorous greenhorns Pixie and Peaches Geldof, Georgia May Jagger, Alexa Chung, and Emma Watson have garnered starstruck press during fashion week. Last night the girls showed generational solidarity by attending the Fashion Fringe showcase for young designers. Cheshire-born William Tempes’ vampish green neon blazers and slinky femme fatale cocktail dresses would have brilliantly suited a starlet on a club prowl; Go By a Secret Path, by Eun Jeong, was the winner, selected by a panel of judges that included Donatella Versace, Natalie Massenet of Net-a-Porter.com, and Roland Mouret. The Seoul-born designer for the winning label had artfully crafted a radiant, romantic collection all in white. Watson, for one, was a fan. “Cute! Cute!” was her reaction to the dreamy dresses.
