Downing Street’s henchmen (i.e., press people) staged their Monday night cocktail event with such tight reigns that even the designers weren’t allowed to bring a guest. So how did Julien Macdonald smuggle in his parents? Perhaps underneath the huge Union Jack he was cloaked in.
