debauchery, darling

September 16, 2008  9:15 pm

Though most of the British fashion world was at Downing Street last night, the hipster contingent was in East London, doffing their trilbies to Mariano Vivanco at the launch of his new book of photography Ninetyfive Chapel Market. There to cast an eye over the display of 25 soulful faces and impressive physiques were bright young artist Hugo Dalton and photographer Nicola Formichetti. After a stop for dinner at Shoreditch House, the party moved on to Hoxton Bar and Grill, where Vivanco led the eighties moves on the dance floor, Ponystep’s Richard Mortimer at his side. “It’s a wonderful, happy night,” Vivanco exclaimed to anyone within earshot. Or as another reveller put it, “It’s debauched, darling, but frightfully fun.”
