paris fashion week: a rose grows in the marais

September 30, 2008  8:44 am

Parisians residing around the hip Rue de Bretagne area in the Marais have reason to celebrate, especially the foodies among them (and, hey, this is Paris, so they’re all foodies). Why? Come later this year, when the Rose Bakery opens its doors in the Rue Debelleyme, they’ll no longer need to trek across to the ninth arrondissement for their organic-fare fixes. Not simply one of the best breakfast and lunch spots in the city, the Rose is something of celebrity hangout. It’s also a fashion world favorite, thanks to the proprietors, the husband-and-wife team of Rose and Jean-Charles Carrarini (whose brother Adrian Joffe presides over Comme des Garçons and is married to Rei Kawabuko).
