in god’s love they trust

Fashion showed its charitable spirit on Monday night as Gods Love We Deliver brought boldfacers like Vogue’s Anna Wintour, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Simon Doonan, and Jonathan Adler to the IAC building for the Second Annual Golden Heart Awards. Over grilled figs, wild mushrooms with black truffles, and short ribs, guests celebrated Harry Slatkin, 7th on Sale, and Roz Gilbert and their generous contributions to the charity, which provides nutritious meals for people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-altering illnesses. Tommy Hilfiger presented the award to his old friend Slatkin, who humbly said, “This is a big honor, but it’s really about the 3,000 volunteers that help all year long.” Mayor Bloomberg arrived a half-hour after dinner began—in the midst of a campaign to extend term limits, he presumably has other things on his plate—but he stopped to sing the organization’s praises. “Our company supports them; I think they do great things.”
