paris fashion week: milla gets her bling on
“Get yourself down to Bulgari now, fab party!” was the text one rather taken-aback journalist received yesterday evening from a fellow writer already knocking back Champagne at the jeweler’s store opening on Avenue George V (store openings do have a habit of veering toward the bland, hence the surprise). So get down there I did. And who should greet me as I walked through the door but Milla Jovovich. The model/designer was draped mock-showgirl-style across a glass cabinet holding a “priceless” vintage diamond necklace. She had some sparkle of her own on, too: a multicolor sapphire necklace so large that it covered a sizable portion of her décolletage. “I feel so comfortable in bling!” she said before performing a twirl. “I’m just making the most of being in Paris.” As, it seems, were Astrid Muñoz and Margherita Missoni, who also turned up to inspect the label’s new emporium.
