paris fashion week: sarah lerfel on her blog addiction
October 1, 2008 8:45 am
Sometimes it’s the small discoveries in life that make the biggest impact. Or so it goes when you’re a major buyer with a fashion empire to look after, anyway. When we caught up with Sarah Lerfel between shows yesterday, she was ecstatic about her latest technologic discovery, RSS. “I’m connected to over 100 blogs through it,” she raved. “I see about 500 posts a day! You have these two columns and I put the classics on there—big names like The Sartorialist and Style File, of course, but also art, design, streetwear, and even food blogs. One of my favorites at the moment is Honeyee.com, from Japan. It has beauty, art, music, fashion, etc. That’s what we do at Colette. We invite people from different disciplines to post, designers like Alexis Mabille and Andrea Crews. I think to have a blog collective is very interesting.”
