paris fashion week: the shopping lowdown

Anyone who has a minute for shopping in between all the shows, presentations, dinners, and assorted other fashion week happenings might want to consider popping into a WHSmith bookshop for a Paris shopper’s crib sheet, in the form of Rebecca Perry Magniant’s Chic Shopping Paris (Little Bookroom). Well designed, lavishly illustrated, and conveniently pocket-size, CSP skips the heavy hitters of the Avenue Montaigne in favor of following in the footsteps of real Parisian shoppers, who mix L’Eclaireur and Louboutin with Le Comptoir des Cotonniers and insider addresses like Dante & Maria, Philippe Roucou, and Louison—and she throws in a host of addresses for finding very French cadeaux, perfumes and objects for the home.
