Was Rebecca Minkoff psyched to meet Shannen Doherty? Uh, little bit, yeah. The designer was the guest of honor at a party given by Beverly Hills’ Beckley Boutique last night, and though she looked perfectly poised as she chewed the fat with the once and current Brenda Walsh, Minkoff later confessed that she was freaking out on the inside. “OK, let’s just say I had the Barbies,” admitted Minkoff, before going on to explain that she had purchased her complete set of 90210 dolls with the proceeds of an entire summer of babysitting. “The people I babysat for, at the end of the summer, they handed me a check for $120,” she recalled. “And I was crushed. Because I needed $140 for the whole set, and I mean, who wasn’t I going to get? Steve?” Needless to say, Minkoff was not tempted to share this anecdote with Doherty herself. “I don’t think she’d be charmed,” she noted. “I think she’d be more like, nice bags but crazy. I wasn’t crazy, though. I was 10!”
