Lisa Perry’s New Mod Mart

November 6, 2008  4:36 pm

Those wishing to inject some pop-art color into their lives would do well to swing by Lisa Perry’s new lifestyle store in Soho. “I think people will always be drawn to the Mod era. It’s so bright and happy,” Perry said as she rustled through her enviable troves of Cardin and Courrèges rarities. Part showroom, part lounge, the store showcases the designer’s sixties-style shift dresses and accessories, along with home furnishings, rare DVDs, mini Vitra chairs, eBay-sourced Heller dishware, and, well, whatever else Perry adds to the rotating mix. I have my eye on the graphic throw pillows in her signature circle print. After all, minimalism feels so last season.

12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 383 West Broadway (between Spring and Broome), 212-334-1956, www.lisaperry.com
