Scout Willis (And A Few Others) Pop Up For Paper

November 10, 2008  5:40 pm

Paper magazine set up their second annual pop-up store over the weekend on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. (That’s right across the street from the Hustler store, for those of you who need a familiar landmark.) The jam-packed event boasted over 30 vendors, including the likes of Rodarte, Jeremy Scott, and Katy Rodriguez and had musical performances every hour over the course of its 24-hour existence. Linlee Allen chatted with a few stylish shoppers about what they were wearing, buying, and selling.

1. Name: Magda Berliner
Occupation: Designer
Wearing: Vintage top, Grey Ant shorts, VPL boots, Corso Como tote bag and ribbon, Balenciaga sunglasses
Paper Pop-Up Highlight: “I came (and at the best time, I might add) and I conquered.”

2. Name: Kime Buzzelli
Occupation: Store Owner, Show Pony
Wearing: Shoes, dress, and all accessories vintage (”except for the sequined headpiece that I made myself!”)
Paper Pop-Up Highlight: “We sold a lot of Laura Kranitz feathered headpieces and necklaces by Annakim Violette. After 19 hours, I’m exhausted. And the Show Pony block party hasn’t even begun yet!”

3. Name: Scout Willis
Occupation: Design intern
Wearing: Boudoir jacket, vintage dress and accessories, Lanvin ballet flats (”Of course, like always!”)
Paper Pop-Up Highlight: “I bought a great feathered headpiece by Laura Kranitz at the Show Pony stall for my sister Tallulah.”

4. Name: Samantha Alonso
Occupation: Fruition Las Vegas, Store Owner
Wearing: Lacoste sweater, Adidas track pants, Chanel cuffs, Supreme beanie, vintage sunglasses, Timberland boots, Prada socks, vintage Gucci bag and belt
Paper Pop-Up Highlight: “We had a $400 sale at 4:00 a.m., which was pretty surreal!”
