It’s ASmallMagazine After All

Back in the day, say around 2004, before you friended, poked, and sent Chanel gifts via Facebook, ASmallWorld was where you went to secure entrée to Bungalow 8 or invites to soirées from South Beach to Saint-Tropez. Well, the aristobrats, arrivistes, and (invited) everyday people are still going strong on the members- only networking site. And this month, the powers-that-be —which include investor Harvey Weinstein—launch its in-house publication called ASmallMagazine. The e-zine functions somewhat like a high-end newsletter. “Our articles start real conversations,” says editor in chief Sabine Heller. “[They] bring readers, the writer, and the personalities closer together.” That’s probably because the site’s directory allows for direct access to the magazine’s subjects. Contributors include ASmallWorld citizens like Purple’s Caroline Gaimari, Jessica Ramakrishnan, Summer Litchfield, and Domino’s Lauren Goodman. The debut issue features profiles of Elie Saab and Elizabeth Banks, who reveals her wish to have a threesome with Brangelina. A small world, indeed.
