Philo’s Celine Debut Delayed

January 13, 2009  12:14 pm

Phoebe-philes will be forced to exercise their patience for a season. The former Chloé designer won’t be presenting her debut collection for Celine until this fall for Spring 2010.

Start planning. New York fashion week gets slightly demystified as more locales are confirmed (and another design team drops out) . If you haven’t already, you might want to start writing all this down.

In Milanese fashion news, editor-favorite airport Malpensa is drastically cutting back on flights, which means fashion week attendees may have some connections to make. Ladies (and gentlemen), try not to take it out on your assistants.

Forget A-Rod. Kate Hudson heats up with another athlete, who (is it just us?) looks an awful lot like platonic co-star Matthew McConaughey. Just saying.

In her copious spare time, CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg will share her undoubtedly myriad pearls of fashion wisdom with Alexander Wang , CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner and von Furstenberg’s appointed mentee. Also on the learning curve: Patrick Robinson and Andrew Rosen will mentor Vena Cava , while husband-and-wife-team (and accessories wizards) Andy and Kate Spade will talk shop with runner-up Albertus Swanepoel.

In yesterday’s post-Golden Globes glow, the news of Tom Brady and Gisele’s actual, real, confirmed engagement kind of passed us by. But today it’s still true, and we can start speculating on their nuptials. Will the bride wear Dolce? Or a bikini and a sarong? Style Filers, guesses are welcome.
