Was Sting Channeling Versace?

So, there were a few memorable moments at last night’s Golden Globes. Among my favorites was the strange, surely unintended synchronicity of Drew Barrymore wearing gray (a gossamer Christian Dior Haute Couture) and acting slightly kooky while promoting Grey Gardens, Alec Baldwin giving bubble gum the best PR it’s had in a long time, J. Lo not even hesitating to scold a room full of A-listers, and the unexpected presence of gargantuan Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan. But did anyone happen to notice that while Angelina Jolie and January Jones were wearing Versace, Sting’s new look actually appeared to be inspired by the label’s late, great designer Gianni Versace.
